Our School

Home of the Panthers

L'école Centennial Park Elementary opened its doors in 1968 in honour of Canada’s Centennial year. It has a strong connection to the community with many former students returning in a variety of capacities, such as noon hour supervisors. It is located in the center of Abbotsford, beside the jewel of the city - Mill Lake. It is a dual track K to 5 French Immersion school with an enrolment of approximately 235 students. Centennial Park also houses a District Team Centre serving the Abby Family of schools with speech pathologists, counselors, childcare workers, psychologists and other district staff members.

Centennial Park is also the site for L’il Acorn Preschool and Hand in Hand before and after school care.  These programs are housed in the portable, but also access our Multipurpose Room, gymnasium, and library facilities. The staff of these programs works closely with the school.

Our school is truly a multicultural community with several different home languages represented including: Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Punjabi, Filipino, Vietnamese, Korean, and English. Centennial Park enjoys a great deal of parent involvement. Many parents volunteer in the school for hot lunch programs, fruit & vegetable programs, legacy project, La Carnaval de Bonhomme, Scholastic book fairs, classroom support, the annual walk-a-thon, sports day, Parent Advisory Committee (PAC), and the School Planning Committee (SPC). The PAC Facebook page is managed by our PAC president. Strong parent involvement is key to the success of our school!
